There’s quite a bridge-repair-rebuilding bandwagon in the wake of the collapse of the I-35W bridge. I wish some people would stop to think about what they’re asking for with all their talk about safety and efficiency, though.
After I climbed the twists and turns east of Flatwood, I suddenly realized that the traffic had disappeared. Where it had gone, I don't know. Not only were there no more trucks, but cars were few and far between, too. I needed to make a turn south, to Waynesboro.
Originally posted on LiveJournal, 26-Apr-2006 After leaving the Trace and the Land Between the Lakes, it was time to mix with regular traffic again. In Dover I couldn’t find a county road I was looking for, so took Highway 49 along the Cumberland River.
