I recall driving a stretch of road through Mississippi or Tennessee that had a cross or crosses at almost every curve. I think we counted 19 or 20 memorials in about 30 miles.

It made ME a little more cautious, but, obviously, the message was lost on the locals who kept adding to the roadside decorations.</description>
