I forgot to explain the 2nd photo in my last entry. I was in too much of a hurry to go out on a bike ride, I guess.
Anyhow, this is looking downstream on the Coosa River, to the south. The prison side of the river, as Nate Shaw put it, is on the left. Hickory Ground is somewhere on that side, too — probably in the distance where the bare earth shows. (You may need to click on the photo to be able to tell which part that is.) The Riverside Entertainment Center was being greatly expanded when we were there in April 2006 — lots of bare ground where earth-moving equipment was at work.
